AM Record cleaner
Getting down and dirty in the grooves of your vinyl since 1971, from AM Denmark, the AM Record cleaner is the safest and most effective way to freshen up your record collection. The original non-abrasive deep cleaning solution, AM Record cleaner is specially formulated to eliminate dust, dirt and static build-up from your vinyl. Applied with the lint free cotton cloth, it absorbs oil and grime without leaving a residue. Ideal for every day cleaning and even the dirtiest vinyl, the AM Record Cleaner has been the leading record cleaning solution on the market for over 45 years.
On top of the benefits of dramatically improved sound quality and prolonged record life, there’s another reason to keep your records spotless: the reduction in friction during playback also hugely benefits the longevity of your cartridge stylus.
How to use:
✓ In an ideal world, best practice is to clean your records before and after each play to prevent the build up of dust and grime.
✓ Rule #1 is to avoid touching the grooved surface of the record. While there isn’t a proper way to hold a record, you should always handle LPs by either the edges or the labelled surface.
✓ Give your LP a quick spray with the record cleaner, making sure not to dampen the label.
✓ Then take the lint free cotton cloth from the lid and gently rub the vinyl in a circular motion both clockwise and anticlockwise. But be gentle – you don’t want to push dirt into the grooves or drag particles across the surface of the vinyl. Each side of a record will need around 2-3 sprays and 5-6 buffs.
✓ Make sure the record is perfectly dry before returning it to an inner sleeve or turntable.
